The setting of
Traffic Lights is very important. We need to check it regularly. During this process, we should focus on the following aspects:
(1) Irregular
Traffic Lights: Composite lights are used, the sequence of
traffic lights is unreasonable, and the positions of red, yellow, and green lights are improper up and down or left and right. The countdown number color does not match the
traffic light color. The brightness of the
traffic lights is insufficient and the chromaticity is not standard.
(2) The position, height and angle of
Traffic Lights are inappropriate. The installation position of the traffic light is too far from the stop line at the entrance of the intersection or it is not easy to observe. The selection of rods for larger intersections is unreasonable, and the installation position exceeds the standard height or is blocked.
(3) The phase and timing are unreasonable. At some intersections with small traffic flow and no need to set up multi-phase separation traffic flow, direction indicator lights are installed. The duration of yellow lights is less than 3 seconds.

Traffic Lights are inconsistent with the marking lines. The
Traffic Lights instruction information is inconsistent with the sign marking information, or even contradicts each other.
(5) Road
Traffic Lights are not set according to the conditions. There are many intersections with heavy traffic flow and many conflict points, but no signal lights are installed; auxiliary lights are not installed at intersections with heavy traffic flow and conditions; pedestrian crossing lines are drawn at light-controlled intersections, but no
pedestrian crossing signal lights are set; secondary pedestrian crossings are not set according to conditions semaphore.

Traffic Lights control intersections and road sections should have signs and markings, but there is no or lack of setting or marking.
The correct setting of Traffic Lights can reduce traffic jams, so after the setting is completed, it should be checked regularly, and certain adjustments should be made according to the traffic flow at the intersection.
