Guideline A: Minimum Peak Hour Traffic
Clause A refers to the left-turn traffic flow at peak hours is the main condition for judging the use of left-turn phases. This clause contains generated values for left-turn traffic and reverse through-traffic flow, provides separation between left-turn requests and reverse traffic, and is otherwise a function of flow.

Clause A is satisfied when one or both of the following conditions are met:

The product of the left-turn traffic volume and the traffic flow of a reverse through lane exceeds 50000 (Vph)^2, and the product of the left-turn traffic volume and the reverse through traffic flow of two opposite through lanes exceeds 9000 (Vph)^2.

When the main road is 85% or the prescribed speed is 70km/h, the left-turning traffic volume exceeds 80Vph; or when the main road is 85% or the prescribed speed exceeds 70km/h, the left-turning vehicle is delayed.

Guideline B: Delays for left-turning vehicles.
This clause applies to delays primarily caused by left-turning traffic.

This clause is met when the delay of a left-turning vehicle is equal to or exceeds two vehicles per hour (any hour on an average workday).

If there are more than 5 accidents per year because there is no
Solar Studs signal light.
